• I have about 200 contacts, how do I keep them in my computer as well?
You can enter the contacts with MS Outlook. Next time you ActiveSync the GSmart i series and computer, GSmart i series will automatically download those contact information.

• I deleted some mails from GSmart i series, how come those mails would be deleted from my computer as well?
If Synchronization setting is active between GSmart i series and computer, any mails you deleted from GSmart i series would be deleted from computer during next sync.

• How do I sync received email between PDA phone and computer?
When ActiveSyncing GSmart i series with the computer first time, you will need to establish a pairing. This will require you to choose the syncing items.
But if your GSmart i series is already synced with another computer, you''ll need to uncheck the original pairing setting and pair with the new computer during ActiveSyncing.

• How do I choose Outlook files for Active Syncing?
Choose ActiveSync''s Connection > Option > Uncheck any files that you do not want to be synced.

• What files will automatically transfer during Active Syncing?
For Words or Excel files, during transfering ActiveSync will adjust the file sized, which allows GSmart i series to access the files faster. Other files, such as MP3 or JPG, will not be changed at all.

• Why can''t I Active Sync the phone with the computer through the cable?
There are a lot of possiblities. We suggest the following steps for connections:
1. Install Office System 2003''s Outlook and the newest version of ActiveSync.
2. Make sure you run Outlook at least once and set up your personal profile before ActiveSync.
3. Do not connect the phone before ActiveSync. If you have done that already, please goto My Computer (Right Click) > Control Panel > Device Manager, and uninstall any question marked unit.
4. Check ActiveSync''s setting. At Tool Bar, choose File > Connection Setting, and see if USB connection is checked.

• How do I Active Sync GSmart i series with computers?
1. Please make sure the computer has at least MS Outlook 2003 installed.
2. If you are using MS Outlook for the first time, please use the wizard to set up a personal file.
3. Install Active Sync 4.2 or the newest version.
4. Connect GSmart i series with the computer with the USB cable.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen, complete the Sync settings.
Note: Please do not connet the phone before finishing the installation of Outlook and ActiveSync.

• Why my computer gives response when I plugged in my device through the USB. Not even “Local Area Connection” icon pops out.
For some reason you have disabled your Windows Mobile-Based device network adaptor. Therefore you have to re-enable it.
Steps:
Re-plug in your device and go to
Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager->Network Adaptors
Locate “Windows Mobile-Based Device #”, right click and select “Enable”.

• How do I sync GSmart i series with computers through bluetooth?
Please follow the instructions below.
1. Go to Start > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth, choose [Turn on Bluetooth] and [Make this device visible to other devices].
2. Open Bluetooth controller on the computer, add new devices and look for GSmart i series.
3. Enter your password.
4. Check the COMPORT under Bluetooth Controller, and look for GSmart i series (or your ID), exclude serial COM4.
5. At computer''s ActiveSync connection setting, open the respective COMPORT.
6. Under ActiveSync on GSmart i series, choose Menu > Connect via Bluetooth.
7. If you cannot find the respective COMPORT under ActiveSync''s Connection options, you can go into Computer's [Control Panel], change the COMPORT number.
